Hair Color is Too Much for a Mind Stuck in the '70s

My mother dyed my hair for me today...again. Within the last 6 months, I'd say, I bleached my hair out, dyed it dark blonde, and now have tried to dye it a REALLY REALLY dark brown because my mom says that black is "too depressing". Plus, she's afraid I'll go emo. Whatev! LoL! But seriously, these are some major changes for my hair. I am also currently trying to grow my hair out to about shoulder-length all the way around. Not just the back. I don't want a mullet thing goin' on!!! I want my hair to be about the length of Triple H's.

http://www.malex.altervista.org/wrestling/triple%20h.jpg

That's him.

But some parts of it came out somewhat red when I had it dyed this time. And I don't mean orange-like red. I mean RED! Dark red, but red nonetheless. So tomorrow, my mom shall have to redye my hair. She asked if I just wanted to do it again NOW, but I said, "It takes forever to rinse that crap outta my hair! Let's just do it tomorrow." So yeah. Now I'm stuck for today with dark hair with streaks of maroon. LoL! Owel. Not bad. Looks kinda cool. LoL! And then I got to hear flack my dad every time I dye my hair about how "only women dye their hair," and "can't you just be happy with the way you are," and that crap OVER AND OVER. As if HE'S never done anything new! But whatev. This is coming from the same guy who said to me one day that I couldn't wear high-top sneakers and shorts at the same time because I'd look like a geek. I said, "Then how will you be able to tell they're high-tops if you wear pants?" My mom had to explain that back in the '60s and '70s, you never wore high-tops with shorts because it was considered geeky. I do believe my dad needs to AT LEAST move up into the '80s! I'd be happy with the '80s! But NOT the '70s!!! Good lord!!! Anyway, there's my delima for now.

 The World's ATM Machine

So, I was watching an episode of "Boston Legal" (staring James Spader and William Shatner) quite a while back and recently saw the comments to my last Blog that I posted on MySpace and my mother decided to post on here. One Truth Seeker said something about "the world is not very hospitable to America". That is true. Trust me; the "Boston Legal" mentioning will come into play fairly quickly. Just bear with me. But in all honesty, I started thinking about how the rest of the world views us. First of all, we went to war with no real hard evidence. We just went to war carrying a grudge on our back and that tends to set off the tempers of a lot of people. That issue in itself got many Americans, English, French, Canadians, and many others riled up and ticked off. Bush didn't seem to care about how many people he stepped on and made mad in the process of finishing what his daddy couldn't, though. He had what is known as tunnel vision. He was focused on one thing and put the blinders on to everything else. Now, I must admit that I was a Bush supporter for many years. At first, I was too naive to see that the war wasn't so just. We really didn't have too much evidence (at least nothing to go to war over) and went in pretty much blindly to sniff out a man who hadn't done anything to us in years, Saddam Hussein. Yes, Saddam is one evil man and deserves the death penalty. But who are our leaders alone to judge the doings of another country's leader? When Bill Clinton went on trial during his Presidency, was he on trial to another country? No. Why? Because he committed crimes against OUR country and OUR country alone. So why should Saddam be on trial against our country when he committed crimes against the Iraqi people--not us? Strange, I know. But I guess that George Bush figured that he'd be the one to bring him to justice. But we didn't (as George would say) "strategerize" too well before going into Iraq. Our original reason was to find Osama Bin Laden, which I was all for. Then Bush says "Saddam's got weapons of mass destruction! We're going to war!" Ok then. Weapons of mass destruction seem like quite a valid reason for war, right? Right. Well, of course, as if they have nothing better to do (because really, they don't), the UN sticks their noses in and says "Wait, wait, wait! We don't know they have WMDs for SURE! Maybe you're jumping the gun. We'll go in and check." So just to keep face with the UN, we sent Hans Blix in to investigate. And then what does Hans come back with? NOTHING! Not a single solitary thing! Not even a barrel of toxic waste! NOTHING! That's just sad. I'm sorry, but I'm used to my government lying to use. Aren't you? It makes us feel safe when we're lied to, believe it or not. A meteor could be plummeting to earth, but if my government says, "Oh, that's nothing. It's just a shooting star that came a little too close to earth. Don't worry about it." then I'm going to feel safe. It's their JOB to lie to us! So why was this time any different? If there was EVER a time to lie, then would have been the time! Heck, they could have sent some teenagers into Kinkos and PhotoShopped a warhead on a camel's back for God's sake! But I just want SOMETHING! But no, Bush comes out and says, "Well...uh...apparedentelly [obviously, I'm saying stupid things to make fun of Bush], the UN found zippola. Nadda! Nothin'! The big goose egg! And yes, I feel quite dumb. But, we're going to war anyway. SCREW THE UN!!! HA, HA, HA, HA, HA!!! HA!!! HA, HA!!!" Ok, I'm done. :-) But anyway, we went to war with practically no reason with Iraq. Then, while all of this is going down, Korea goes "WE'VE GOT NUCLEAR WARHEADS AND WE'RE GONNA SHOVE 'EM UP YOUR BEHIND! MWAH, HA, HA, HA!" And what do we do? We go, "Oh...well...that sucks." And we do what about it? We monitored their actions? WHOOPTY DO! Did Iraq threaten us? No. Did Iraq, like South Korea did back during the Korean War, ask for our help? No. But Korea DID threaten us...WITH NUCLEAR WEAPONS! The same kinds of things that we SWORE that Saddam Hussein had in Iraq but didn't find! But who did we go to war with? IRAQ!!! Something wrong with this picture? I think so. And are you still confused as to why the world doesn't love America as much as we Americans do? I know I ain't. Plus, everyone always hates the best. ;-) It's a proven fact. But in all seriousness, I want to get to my next point. This next point includes the reason behind why I brought up "Boston Legal".

On an episode of "Boston Legal," an Indian woman sues the US government because her baby had died. Let me elaborate. She lived in India and near her city, there was a clinic that operated under US funding but was actually an Indian clinic ran and operated by Indian doctors. The stipulation for foreign clinic funding by the US government is that the clinic cannot in any way, shape, or form support, condone, advertise, or even mention abortion. Why? I don't know. Just something cooked up by the American government. Not saying I disagree with that at all, though. I love the idea. I'm just saying. Well, apparently, the clinic did something that was misconstrued as promoting abortion and was shut down by the US government. So now, we're back to the Indian woman. She didn't know about the recent shutdown and went to the clinic to have her baby. After getting there, she found out that it had been shut down and then discovered that she would require a C-section because her baby was slowly dying inside of her. Well, she didn't have enough time to get to another clinic and the baby ended up dying. So the woman decided to sue the American government. The government ended up winning because of some pretty moving and convincing speeches by Allen Shore (James Spader's character) and Denny Crane (William Shatner's pro-Republican character). The reason I bring this up is because I agree with everything that Allen Shore said in his closing statement to the jury. Now, I don't want to sound heartless here because I do feel sad that the woman's baby died (even though it is just a TV show, I still feel bad about it because I'm weird that way). Now that I made that clear, I can go on with my point. Allen Shore said "Just give the woman loads of money. BAGS AND BAGS AND BAGS of money! Give her billions of dollars! Oh wait...we have a multi-trillion dollar deficit. Ah, oh well. Give her bags of money anyway! Give her money that we don't have! Why? Because America is the world's ATM machine!" I'm paraphrasing because it's been a while since I've seen that episode, but that's basically what he said. I agree with that speech, though. American IS in fact treated as though we are one big huge ATM to the world! America has a multi-trillion dollar deficit and the rest of the world knows that. But so what? It's just America, right? We can pull through it! We're OBLIGATED to fork over tons of cash to less fortunate countries because they're not as wealthy and powerful as us! Sure, we don't HAVE money, but we should give some up anyway, just because others need it. And when we DON'T give that money over, the rest of the world hates us for Bogarting our money. We have a multi-trillion dollar deficit, but we don't NEED that money, do we? Of course not! We put hitches on our money. We put stipulations on our money. We tell other countries, "Alright, you can have this money as long as you..." whatever. Why? BECAUSE IT'S OUR MONEY! WE'RE ALLOWED! Would you just GIVE money to your needy son or daughter without a stipulation? Do you just GIVE your money to your children as an allowance without a hitch to it? Or do you just give them allowances for just being there? I think not! It is OUR money and OUR money alone, and if we give instructions and stipulations along with that money, by God, we should be allowed to! But as far as I'm concerned, every other country with that hand out can shove their open hand up their butts! Why? Because WE need the money just as much as THEM, and considering it's OUR money, WE should keep it! And if we make an enemy along the way for not forking over OUR money for THEM, well then so be it! It's not like our military can't handle it! I mean, everyone's AFRAID of us! So I just wanna see the cocky dictator or king of whatever that says, "I challenge America to war!" Seriously, I think if someone actually said that to George Bush, he'd pee his pants in laughter rather than fear. But as I was saying, the cash flow to the rest of the world needs to be cut off until we have enough money to pay off our OWN debts! AMERICA IS NOT AN ATM MACHINE!!! PERIOD!!! And there goes another rant of mine.

A Decent-Sized Rant About the Media

For years, the media has sucked. We all know it. Just most people scoff about certain things and that's about it. When our soldiers were being DECAPITATED ON CAMERA, SHOT IN THE HEAD ON CAMERA, MUTILATED, DRAGGED THROUGH THE STREETS, BEATEN, HANGED, AND WERE TORTURED within an inch of their lives and then over the breaking point in Iraq and other middle eastern countries, where was our focus? It was on some happenings comparable to a college hazing going on in Abu Grabe when our soldiers embarrassed a few Iraqi prisoners and put their embarrassment on camera. Most of those soldiers got dishonorably discharged for that! That shows up on even JOB resumes forever! And why? Because we piled a few naked Iraqi men on top of each other? Because we put them in some nasty positions? We didn't sodomize them, we didn't kill them, we didn't torture them, and we didn't mutilate them. The ONLY thing we did was embarrass them! Was it right? No. But why was the AMERICAN MEDIA trying to make AMERICAN SOLDIERS look like devils when we were being angels compared to Iraqi soldiers?

Then, when we found Saddam Hussein and should have been concentrating on that, where was the media's focus? It was on some soldier that accidentally kicked the Koran when it slipped from his hands! After that, he got a dishonorable discharge and was punished BIG TIME for that one dang thing! Would I be ticked if someone kicked the Holy Bible? You bet your fat, shiny behind! But #1, it was an accident, and #2, WE ARE USING OUR TAX DOLLARS TO PAY FOR FOREIGN PRISONERS' BIBLES AND THEIR STUPID LITTLE MATS TO PRAY ON! I'm sorry if I offended anyone with that statement. It wasn't intended to be insulting. If you're an Arab or even if you just didn't like that statement, I'm sorry. I have nothing wrong with Muslims or Arabs at all, so I apologize if I offended you. But seriously, if you are a prisoner, you get NO RIGHTS! PERIOD! YOU SURRENDERED YOUR RIGHTS WHEN YOU BECAME A PRISONER! And besides, they're not in AMERICA! Therefore, they don't have American rights! It's as simple as that! But no, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE are paying for a ton of Korans and prayer mats for these Iraqi prisoners who should be living worse than the random hobo digging in the dumpster behind Big Boy! But again, there's our media and our government for ya. THIS COUNTRY HAS A MULTI-TRILLION DOLLAR DEFICIT! Are we concentrating on that? NO! Instead, our tax dollars go to a war in Iraq that, as far as I'm concerned, IS OVER and to pay for Korans and prayer mats FOR PRISONERS!

And now what REALLY ticks me off is a video I just saw at some stupid video, image, and music hosting site called Dump-A-Link. The video's caption said something about how religious zealots and evangelists are "worming their ways into children's minds". I thought, "What the hell?" So of course, me being the professed Christian that I am, had to watch it. The video was clips from various church sessions where the ENTIRE church was getting into the sermon from the preacher (which you couldn't hear because talking and such was going on over it) and even CHILDREN were getting up on the stage and allowed to take the mic during church and give little sermons of their own. I've seen this done before and it's actually done quite frequently on Sunday night sessions at many churches to train children in the ways of preaching and evangelism if they so choose to be a minister, evangelist, or a televangelist some day. One woman was even talking about how "Over in those Arab countries, they're taking their children to 'religious' camps just like we take our kids to Bible Camp, only they're putting grenades in their children's hands." Now, that's not ENTIRELY true and a bit of an exaggeration, but it's not entirely false either. It's been done and IS going on over there. But not all Muslims are terrorists. Sometimes the American people confuse the two. And that's profiling, which I don't entirely agree with (I only agree with criminal profiling, and if you don't understand what that is, look it up), so yeah. Those are my views though. But I understand what she was trying to say. Then an announcer says "A church like this is being made every two minutes in America." Again, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but I get the point. They said that some 40,000,000 people are faithful Christian church-goers in this country, and that's nice to know. But that's still quite a minority. Which in retrospect is suckish compared to the 1940s, '50s, and even before then. Every decade, the amount of church-goers decreases. I think that 9/11 was a nice kick in the pants to the American public though to start going to church again. It brought us closer together. And like it or not, when you go to church, it makes you feel that you're loved by at least two people: God and Jesus. They don't hate you. They love you. And church makes you feel good and loved. Church is the biggest "family" or "click" you can belong to. It is the ultimate "club". But religion is a lifestyle; not a club that you participate in for a few hours and then go back to your normal life. But back to the video, after a while, some liberal (I'm guessing) was saying something about how religion is "taking over our schools and our children and everything by chunks at a time." What the hell is that!? We're "taking over"? Dude, religion isn't a New World Order or something. Religion is a culmination of all things that are good and pure in this world and the next. Religion is simply an ideal and a pure lifestyle. It's purer than Straight Edge or any other religion, social "club," or gang you can belong to. Everyone knows it, just some are too weak minded to accept that. And no one likes being called weak minded, but the ones who say "Well, I can't understand 100% of it, so since I don't get it, I won't follow it," are rather close-minded and weak-minded. It's not the other way around. The ones who don't accept homosexuals and believe in a pure way of life and a life with rules and without sin are not the close-minded ones. They are the ones who are open-minded. You are the close-minded ones. So open your mind. "Liberate" your mind, if you will. After you read this, don't get mad and storm off somewhere to pout or write me hate mail or whatever. This is an issue that I feel very strongly about.

I'm not telling you how to live your life. Just suggestion. And if you can post things advertising bands or advertising your ideals (such as the "I Support" crap), then I have just as much of a right as you. You don't HAVE to read this. And if you do want to, you don't even have to take anything away from this. Just think about it and REALLY think hard before you go sending hate mail or writing angry rebuttals. Because if you test me, I will win. My faith is strong. My mind is open. May God's will be done and may the media burn, for God's sake!!! I hate the media! Never anything good! If I hear about Paris Hilton making another sex tape one more time, I'm gonna have to track down the heads of every single news corporation and castrate them all with a rusty lawn-mower blade! And if it's a woman, I'll just have to shove the rusty blade up her back-side! I know--nice images, no? Anyway, yeah, I'm done with my rant for the month...or week...or day...or till whenever something else sets me off. LMAO! PEACE!
